As the world’s most popular battle royale, Fortnite has always been synonymous with multiplayer gaming. But Chapter 2, Season 6 is giving us its first single-player story mission.
The new Season kicks off on Tuesday, March 16. According to the Epic Games website, “When you first launch into the new Season, you’ll play through the conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. The aftermath of this event is sure to shape Reality as we know it.
“Don’t worry, the Zero Crisis Finale is a solo experience and you can play through it whenever you first log in during the Season. Want to watch it online first? We’ll share details soon on how you can watch the global premiere with everyone, beginning with our most ambitious story cinematic yet!”
This continues the plot development of Chapter 2, Season 5, which saw Agent Jones try to stabilize The Zero Point by snagging characters from different realities. The plot was mostly an excuse to bring in characters like Master Chief, Kratos, and the Predator into the Fortnite universe.
But considering the promises that the new event will “shape Reality as we know it,” the door will likely remain open for more outrageous character cameos in Fortnite.
